Welcome AMEC 2011 is the 2nd Art and Music Education Conference organised by Ministry of Education for the professional development of Art and Music teachers in Singapore. The conference aims to encourage the sharing of knowledge and pedagogical expertise among teachers, connect teachers with the arts community and creative industries, and create opportunities for partnerships between schools and industries.Singapore Teachers' Academy for the aRts (STAR) will be officially launched by the Mr Heng Swee Keat, Minister for Education at AMEC 2011 to highlight the significant role of STAR in building the community of Art and Music teachers and advancing their professional excellence. Conference Theme The theme of AMEC 2011 is 'Redefine, Reframe, Realise'.
